Chive Herb Seed Balls

Each beautifully illustrated tube contains 20 seed balls, each packed with chive seeds. Simply harvest with a snip and let them re-grow. Be sure to leave some of the beautiful flowers that emerge for wildlife! These herb tubes work well in window boxes, balcony pots, garden beds, and wildlife gardens, making them ideal as gardening gifts, eco-friendly stocking fillers, or thoughtful presents for friends and family.

Allium are bulbous herbaceous perennials with a strong onion or garlic scent, linear, strap-shaped or cylindrical basal leaves and star-shaped or bell-shaped flowers in an umbel on a leafless stem. Chives have a long history of use in the kitchen, with some recipes from China going back at least 5,000 years.

One tube of seed balls will cover 1 square metre in a garden bed or 3-5 medium sized pots (leave at least 10cm between each ball). Best scattered in Spring, Summer or Autumn.

Each tube is 9.3cm – 3.7cm.
